Taiparirua Tau Ora Services

At Taiparirua Tau Ora Services, we offer a range of holistic and culturally grounded counselling and support services to meet the needs of whānau across various ages and challenges. Our mission is to provide a safe, supportive environment where healing and well-being can flourish.

Tamariki Trauma Counselling:
Our specialised trauma counselling is available for tamariki aged 4-17 years, offering a safe space for young people to process difficult experiences and begin their journey to healing. Whether they are dealing with grief, abuse, or other traumatic events, our team is here to support their emotional well-being.

Adult Trauma Counselling:
Whānau aged 18-65+ can access adult trauma counselling services designed to address past or present trauma, guiding them through their healing process. Our focus is on helping individuals reclaim their strength, rebuild their lives, and improve their overall well-being.

Mental Health & Addiction Counselling:
For whānau aged 10-65+, our Mental Health and Addiction Counselling service is available to support those facing mental health challenges or struggles with addiction. We provide a compassionate, non-judgmental space to explore these issues and work towards recovery and resilience.

Peer Support for Mental Health & Addiction (MH&A):
Whānau aged 10-65+ can access peer support services for mental health and addiction. This unique service is designed to maintain well-being through shared experiences and encouragement from those who have walked similar paths. It’s about building strength and resilience within a supportive, understanding community.

Whānau Tahi Holistic Healing:
This service focuses on supporting whānau to address the external and internal stressors that lead to emotional distress. Whānau Tahi Holistic Healing embraces a whānau-centered approach, focusing on the interconnectedness of physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being, helping individuals and families achieve greater balance in their lives.

Traditional Practitioner – Mirimiri:
Mirimiri is a traditional Māori healing technique that seeks to restore and rebalance the body, mind, and spirit. It’s an ancient practice designed to release blockages and heal the deeper layers of the body. Our traditional practitioner provides this powerful healing service to help whānau reconnect with their bodies and find equilibrium.

Adult and Children’s Safety Programmes:
This programme is designed for any applicant of a Protection Order, offering educational support to address safety concerns and empower participants. The Adult and Children’s Safety Programmes focus on creating a secure and informed environment, ensuring the protection and wellbeing of all whānau members.

At Taiparirua Tau Ora Services, we believe in the power of connection, cultural wisdom, and professional care to create a space where individuals and families can heal and grow. Whether you’re seeking help for tamariki, adults, or the whole whānau, we are here to guide you through the journey of healing and well-being.
