Second & Third Reading of the Ngā Hapū o Ngāti Ranginui Claims Settlement Bill 

This week we head to Te Whanganui-a-Tara for the Second and Third Reading of the Ngāti Ranginui Claims Settlement Bill.

To all those who have confirmed with Ngāti Ranginui or via your hapū that you’re travelling — whether on our chartered buses and plane, or are in Pōneke or your making your own way — we look forward to seeing you there.

Kaumātua and our whānau will gather at Pipitea Marae and Parliament to mark this important milestone in our journey.

Wednesday 14th May
4:00pm – Pōhiri – Pipitea Marae | 55-59 Thorndon Quay, Pipitea

Thursday 15th May
5:30am – Kapu Tī & Tohi | Cuppa Tea & Toast at Pipitea Marae
6:00am – Depart Pipitea Marae for Parliament
6:30am – Parliament Check-in
7:00am – Mihi Whakatau
10:00am – Second reading, Committee of the Whole House and Third reading of the Ngāti Ranginui Claims Settlement Bill.
1:30pm Depart Parliament

Please ensure you are prepared:

  • Photo ID is required for entry into Parliament
  • Dress code: Black
  • Staying at Pipitea Marae? Bring a blanket or sleeping bag
  • Pack warm clothing, snacks, and any medication you need
  • No photography is permitted inside Parliament
